Facelift

Best candidate: patient with excess skin on cheeks, neck, pour contour of jowl and deep nasolabial groves. Best results are obtained with patients with oval faces with loose skin without much fat excess.

Necessary results of blood tests and other examinations: blood group, blood morphology and SR (sedimentation rate), coagulogram (APTT, INR), serum glucose and electrolytes levels, urine analysis, Ekg (only for patients older than 55 y.o.) HBs, HCV and HIV.

EXAMINATION CAN BE CARRIED OUT ON ARRIVAL TO POLAND AND THEIR COST IS THEN INCLUDED IN THE PROCEDURE PRICE. IT SHOULD BE, HOWEVER, REMEMBERED THAT BAD TESTS RESULTS CAN EXCLUDE SURGERY. Type of anaesthesia: general

Length of procedure: 2.5-3.5 hours

Stay in the clinic: 1 day (to 11 am the next day after the surgery day) Post-surgery checkups and possible suture removal: Post-surgery checkups – 3 day after surgery and prior to departure for Poland. Sutures removal after 7 days but it is possible to use absorbable sutures for skin closure without need to remove them.

Type of discomfort and limitations in normal vital activity during stay in Poland: generally post-surgery course is painless. On areas operated (especially lower eyelids, checks and neck) bruising and swelling can occur. During the first 7 days (day and night) special pressure mask should be worn. Hair and face wasching is possible after 3-5 days after surgery.

Minimal stay in Poland: 6 days. 5 days after surgery and a consultation 1 day before surgery.

Back to work: within about 14 days. The main reasons is bruising which may be visible until 2-3 weeks after surgery.

Results: longlasting but may be impaired by future weight gains and losses.
