Liposuction

Best candidate: non-obese patient with regional fat accumulation and without significant skin laxity or stretch marks.

Necessary results of blood tests and other examinations: blood group, blood morphology and SR (sedimentation rate), coagulogram (APTT, INR), serum glucose and electrolytes levels, urine analysis, Ekg (only for patients older than 55 y.o.) HBs, HCV and HIV.

Examinations can be carried out on arrival to Poland and their cost is included in the price of procedure. It should be, however, remembered that bad tests results can exclude surgery. The clinic is not held responsible for such a situation and does not return costs of a trip and stay in such cases.

Type of anaesthesia: spinal or general

Length of procedure: 2-4 hours

Stay in the clinic: 1 day (to 11 am the next day after the surgery day)

Post-surgery checkups and possible sutures removal: Post-surgery checkups – on 3rd day after surgery and prior to departure for Poland. Sutures removal after 7 days but it is possible to use absorbable sutures for skin closure without need to remove them.

Type of discomfort and limitations in normal vital activity during stay in Poland: Tenderness and minor pain ailments, which do not limit everyday movement activity considerably, are a normal phenomenon after liposuction. Some swellings and bruising can occur on areas treated.  Wound area drenching (shower) is possible already on the second day after surgery. During the first 7 days pressure garments should be permanently worn (day and night).

Minimal stay in Poland: 6 days. 5 days after surgery and a consultation 1 day before surgery.

Back to work: within about 5-7 days

Results: permanent but may be impaired by future weight gain.
