Rhinoplasty - nose correction
Best candidate: patient with visible nose deformity (hump, wide tip or nasal dorsum) and without thick oily skin.
Necessary results of blood tests and other examinations: blood group, blood morphology and SR (sedimentation rate), coagulogram (APTT, INR), serum glucose and electrolytes levels, Ekg (only for patients older than 55 y.o.) HBs, HCV and HIV.
Examinations can be carried out on arrival to Poland and their cost is not included in the price of procedure. It should be, remembered that bad tests results can exclude surgery. The clinic is not held responsible for such a situation and does not return costs of a trip and stay in such cases.
Type of anaesthesia: general
Length of procedure: 1-1.5 hours
Stay in the clinic: 1 day (to 11 am the next day after the surgery day). It is also possible to leave clinic on the same day with accompaning person
Post-surgery checkups and possible suture removal: Post-surgery checkups on 7 day after surgery. Nasal dorsum cast removal on 7 day after surgery.
Type of discomfort and limitations in normal vital activity during stay in Poland: after surgery no pain ailments occur. Bruising and swelling on upper and bottom lids are typical. These bruising usually recede gradually within 7-10 days. Usually for the first few days a certain kind of difficulty in breathing through nose occurs (like during catarrh). During surgery nose dorsum is fixed with a plaster cast, which has to remain there for 6-7 days.
Minimal stay in Poland: 8 days. 7 days after surgery and 1 day before surgery.
Back to work: within about 7-10 days
